Coco Zhang, born on Feburary 23th, 2009, has been an active member of the NIS community since 4th Grade. Being a master overthinker and and a committed media-consumer of all things living and breathing, she remains excited to share her perspective on environmental problems, global politics, and interesting scientific knowledge. Her journalism beats includes Clubs/ASA and Beyond NIS on top of being the sole editor of the Opinions Section. 

In light of this new development at NIS, Coco is determined to produce compelling and thought-provoking work for the enjoyment of the student body, inspired by works of the class of 2025. She hopes her work would reflect the importance of the issues discussed and raise awareness for the problems in our society. As stated by Ancient Greek Philosopher Aristotle: “The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than mere survival.”
