On June 13, NIS students attended Prom 2026 at Melia Chiang Mai. This year’s theme was “A Night in Paris,” and the event ran from 6:00 p.m. until around 10:30 p.m.
Students first checked in at the entrance, where Student Council members helped organize arrivals. Outside the ballroom, there was a themed photo backdrop, a photo booth, and several areas where students could take pictures before entering the main event space.
Inside, the ballroom was decorated to match the Paris theme. Red decorations and lighting helped create the atmosphere for the night. Students from other schools were also allowed to attend, although guest tickets were priced differently from NIS student tickets.

A buffet dinner was provided throughout the evening, including desserts, drinks, and a variety of food options. Hotel staff were constantly serving food, refilling drinks, and cleaning tables as the event continued.
As the night went on, more students moved to the dance floor. Popular songs played throughout the evening, and the DJ kept the music going with smooth transitions between tracks. Most male students wore suits, while students arrived in a wide variety of formal dresses and outfits.
One of the biggest moments of the night was the announcement of the Prom King and Prom Queen. Students gathered near the stage as the winners were crowned and took photos together.
Several teachers also attended the event, including Mr. Jack, Mr. Noel, Mr, Colin, Mr. First, Ms. Meena, Ms. Debbie and other faculty members.
Prom officially ended at 10:00 p.m., with most students leaving shortly afterward. For many students, the event was a chance to spend time with friends, take photos, and celebrate the end of another school year.
