From February 23–26, 2026, students and teachers gathered at the Pioneer Building for the annual Book Fair 2026, an exciting event that transformed the space into a lively hub of reading, learning, and creativity. Organized in collaboration with Asia Books, the fair offered a wide selection of books, board games, and stationery for the school community.
Throughout the four-day event, students had the opportunity to explore new titles, discover educational materials, and purchase items that support both academic learning and personal interests. The colorful booths attracted visitors during breaks and after classes, creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.
During the event, interviews were conducted with both the booth staff and the high school librarian, Ms. Mint, to better understand the purpose and impact of the book fair. One of the representatives from the Asia Books booth explained that the main goal of the fair is to make books more accessible to students. She shared that many students may not have easy access to a physical bookstore, so bringing the store directly to the school allows more students to explore and purchase books conveniently. She also mentioned that NIS organizes this event twice each year — once before the New Year and again in February — to continue encouraging reading habits among students.
The Ms. Mint also expressed positive feedback about the event. She explained that she purchased several books and materials needed for the library and school use. According to her, the book fair is especially meaningful because it gives students who cannot easily visit bookstores the chance to buy books themselves. She believes events like this help promote reading while supporting students’ academic growth and personal interests.
Overall, Book Fair 2026 successfully created an engaging learning environment while strengthening the school’s reading culture. By bringing books directly onto campus, the event not only made resources more accessible but also encouraged students to develop a deeper appreciation for reading.
