On December 10th, 2025, Waseda university visited our school for the first time. This is a precious experience for students that are interested in Japanese culture and wish to study in Japan.
Waseda university provides strong courses in political science, economics, law and business, they also have a program that lets students go abroad again in Europe or America to get a deeper understanding and learning experience for them to have a better job in the future. Their programs are taught in English so for those students who do not know any Japanese, it will be easy for them to learn and improve. Even though there are limited majors to choose for international students, there are still really valuable majors such as Literacy Study, Political science, Business, economics, and law. Also for those students who are looking for a STEM major, they also have General Science, Chemistry, and Physics. The tuition fee of Waseda University is different depending on the majors. For non-STEM majors, such as Law, or Literacy Study, the fee is usually around 1.2 million yen(30K baht) per year. And for STEM courses, it’s usually around 1.5 million yen(37K Baht) per year.
Waseda university has a total of eight different campuses, most of them are in the Tokyo region, and some of the campuses are located in the Kyushu region. The variety of campuses can let students choose which campus that they want to go for their best benefits.
Waseda University provides dorms for students, but only for the first two years of the school year. From that time on, the students need to rent a house in Tokyo. But Waseda university will help to ease the process. They have a house center where they list all the houses available around the campus.
If you want to apply for the university, their application period is mainly in January and February, and they start school in June. The requirements that need to apply to this university is that you need a score of SAT around 1400, with AP scores submitted to the school. Also they need a 7 or above in IELTS, or a 100 above in TOEFL. Their average tuition fee costs around 1million yen for each year studying on campus.
In conclusion, Waseda university provides a strong, supportive environment for both international and local students. Using various programs available to let the students gets more experienced and more applicable into the society.
