On November 18th, 2025, International high school students from all over Chiang Mai gathered at the Shangri-La Chiang Mai Hotel for a large-scale College & University Fair hosted by the Prem International School.
Prem school officials stated that this college fair includes about 130 universities that are connected with Global Universities and Consultants for Guidance on Applications, Scholarships, and Careers in areas such as Law, Medicine, Creative Arts, and More.’ For students, this is a rare opportunity to ask admissions officers face-to-face and learn the real situation. During the event, many students focused their questions on application requirements, scholarships, and job prospects.
“Students must meet the minimum entry requirements for their chosen course, so researching the program is essential,” said a representative from King’s College London. “Applications are submitted through UCAS, which includes a personal statement. Meeting both subject requirements and minimum entry criteria is crucial when applying to King’s College London.”
“We have a lot of STEM-related majors, such as computer science, data science, and civil engineering,” explained a representative from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.“ We also offer a dual degree program where students spend five years earning two degrees—one in business and another in either engineering or science.”
The event proved that direct communication with university representatives remains one of the most effective ways for students to make informed decisions about their futures.
