Nakornpayap International School’s annual Winter Carnival will continue as scheduled this year, despite the national 90-day entertainment restrictions period following the passing of Thailand’s Queen Mother.
After questions were raised about whether the event would be postponed, NIS Principal Mr. Benjamin confirmed in an email that the event will proceed as scheduled “in a respectful manner.”
Engagement manager Ms. Eiam Wongkanchai later added that the school will continue holding the event as the previous year. Other details about performances and booth arrangements are still being discussed in planning meetings.
Grade 11 student Maisy Xu said that she’s thrilled to hear the event will return this year:
“It’s always my favorite event. I can’t wait to sell my handcrafts at our booth again — everyone’s welcome to come by!”
For now, NIS is moving forward with preparations, and final updates will be shared once confirmed.
