CMCIS Art Exhibition 2026 Lights Up Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai, February 13 – The CMCIS Art Exhibition 2026 brought together creative talents from Lanna International School, CMIS, Prem International School, and NIS, transforming the venue into a vibrant celebration of youth artistry. Featuring handcrafted projects, digital media, photography, paintings, and live performances,this year’s annual exhibition stood out as one of the most diverse and dynamic displays in recent history, welcoming the local community to experience the imagination of student artists across the city.

As a longstanding tradition, the exhibition serves as a collaborative platform for young creators to share their work beyond the classroom walls. Returning participants noted a distinct shift in this year’s showcase, marked by an extraordinary range of artistic mediums and fearless, innovative presentation styles that immediately captured the attention of every guest.

Leading the visual spectacle, Lanna and CMIS displayed large-scale handcrafted projects that became instant focal points of the exhibition. Crafted with intricate textures and meticulous construction, the impressive size and detail of the pieces left visitors in awe.

“It made me question how much time they spent on those projects,” one visiting student remarked. “The details are beautifully done.”

Prem International School introduced an immersive multimedia experience this year, setting up dedicated laptop stations with headphones for guests to explore original student music videos and short films. This fresh addition to the exhibition expanded creative boundaries, allowing attendees to engage with moving images and sound within the art space.

“I watched all the videos and giggled through most of them,” a senior student shared. “It’s such a unique idea.”

NIS showcased a striking collection of photography, 2D design works, and vivid acrylic paintings on canvas. While the school did not feature handcrafted pieces this year, the collection highlighted an impressive range of styles and artistic perspectives, proving the depth of creative expression among its students.

For the young artists themselves, displaying their work publicly was a mix of thrill and nerves. “Seeing people look at my artwork and talk about it is always a pleasure,” one student artist shared. “But I still get sweaty palms.”

This year’s exhibition held special meaning for graduating seniors, serving as a memorable final showcase to conclude their high school creative journeys.

Beyond visual art, the 2026 event elevated the experience with an expanded lineup of live musical performances, a departure from previous years, which focused primarily on piano and instrumental acts. This edition featured numerous vocal performances and even a surprise jazz band, thrilling attendees and adding an energetic, lively atmosphere to the art showcase.

The CMCIS Art Show is such a great place for student artists to show their spirits and shine, by blending visual art, digital media, and live music, the CMCIS Art Exhibition 2026 successfully celebrated creativity, collaboration, and youth talent in Chiang Mai, leaving a lasting impression on visitors, participants, and the entire school community.
