Female Athletes Shine at Girls’ Volleyball Tryout

On February 3rd, after school, the girls participated in a fierce volleyball tryout in Ms.Kris Pavilion for the upcoming season. Everyone was eager and hardworking, hoping to be selected for the team. This intense section successfully showed NIS players’ effort, determination, and competitiveness.

This tryout was aimed to evaluate the players’ fundamental skills, teamwork, and overall performance. However, NIS volleyball coach, Mr.Tee, didn’t only focus on the skill level. Mr.Tee explained that improving in a short time, effort and willingness were just as important as skill. “I want to see if they try,” he said, ”even in a short time, I saw many students improving. They tried to serve, spile, and save the ball.”

At 3 p.m., the U20 and U16 players began their warm-up and practiced basic skills such as bumping, serving and passing separately. The coaches observed each person‘s foundation and ability.

From 4:00 p.m. to 4:20 p.m., players took a short water break. They rested, drank water, and talked with teammates and coaches. This break helped them recover energy after the intense practice. At 4:20 p.m., the tryout continued. Players returned to the court and kept practicing different drills and team plays.

At 5:00 p.m., the tryout ended. The students cleaned up the court and returned the volleyballs. Overall, with all the players’ sweats and efforts, the CMAC season 3 volleyball tryout eventually came to a successful close.
